    If you have kids under 13, you can take away whatever device they’re presently using. Feel free to just tear your TV off of the wall, if that’s all you’ve got to turn off. And if you don’t have kids, snatch a phone from any teenager who happens to walk by. There is compelling evidence that the devices we’ve placed in young people’s hands are having profound effects on their lives, and making them seriously unhappy. Smartphones are destroying a Generation.

    I think there should be a period of school in which students can have a few minutes refreshing their brain from the abysmal lessons.

    The only positive I see about having smartphones in class is for recording the lessons being taught. I’d support that, but still means the kids would have to listen.

    Cell phones are great tools, technology and information they have at your finger tips is awesome and useful. However there is a time and place for everything and school is not the place for cell phones. Staying focused on learning, interacting with other students, oh and listening to the teacher , not to mention building social grace and interacting skills with others is very important and is quickly becoming an issue with our young people. Constant cell phone use has deteriorated human interaction. Cell phones are not bibles, pacifiers or emotional support objects, they’re tools for our use. Master it, do not allow it to master you.
